Especially for children
Grab mummy, daddy, granny or granddad by the hand and bring them along for some amazing, fun-filled activities.
One of the biggest events on Ærø, especially for children, visiting or local, has to be the annual go-cart race – Ærøskøbing Grand Prix – which takes place during the Danish autumn half-term break. The race spans over several days, and attracts children (and their parents) from near and far away. The race adheres to the international regulations for go-cart racing and the participating cars are custom made, using all the tricks of the trade.

Visit the amazing maritime museum.
The museum is packed full of adventure, stunning model ships, captivating curiosities brought back from faraway places, and a simulator which allows you the authenticity of sailing a large ship yourself. And how about a climb, into an almost intact interior of an old ship, to experience the living quarters of a captain and his crew first-hand, and to see how little space the ship’s cook really had to work in, inside the tiny galley.
